The new flagship store for Fannie May is located in a prominent corner storefront within a historic Holabird & Root high-rise at the corner of Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River. The design intent was to create an open plan layout that allowed for greater circulation and display, and introduce a fresh approach to the national confectioner’s color palette.

Highlights of the scheme include an egg-shaped island, new signage incorporating a strong red and white palette, and a wave pattern laid out in the terrazzo floor that references the nearby Chicago River. Properly lighting these unique elements was a key factor in completing the architectural branding of this custom interior.
