In recognizing the talent, client service, and contributions of our staff, HPA is pleased to announce the following promotions. 

George Valdez has been promoted to Director of Interior Design. George joined HPA in 2001 and has more than 14 years of experience in designing challenging residential and mixed-use projects. He is responsible for overseeing the planning and design for cutting-edge interiors and branding for high-profile commercial, retail and lifestyle buildings. His current projects include the adaptive re-use of Randolph Tower, a circa 1929, 45-story neo-Gothic skyscraper in downtown Chicago.

Megan Zack has been named Director of Sustainability. Megan, a licensed architect and LEED AP BD+C, has managed several of HPA’s sustainable projects, including Parc Huron, the first LEED Gold high-rise apartment building in Illinois. Her job responsibilities include developing firm-wide best practices and protocols for sustainable architecture, as well as continuing to serve as a project architect on major building projects. Megan was named one of ENR Midwest’s 2012 “Top 20 Under 40.”

Tim Holleran, John Mitchell, Jason Walejeski and Sarah Zager were promoted to Project Architect from Senior Associate.
