As an Associate Partner and HPA’s Director of Sustainability, Megan Zack has managed and provided sustainability design for many of the firm’s most challenging mixed-use and residential projects. She has taken the lead on large-scale projects throughout the U.S., including Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, Atlanta and Eugene, Oregon.
Megan is distinguished by her ability to demystify the wide array of green certification processes and to support clients’ objectives in a pragmatic and cost-effective fashion. Her job responsibilities include managing building projects from conception and entitlement through construction administration, as well as developing firm-wide best practices and protocols for sustainable architecture.
Megan is a current board member of Illinois Green and frequently speaks about sustainability topics. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from DePaul University.
