HPA is leading the renovation of the Renaissance Chicago Downtown hotel. Constructed in 1991 on a site across from and overlooking the Chicago River, the 27-story tower has 553 keys, meeting space, retail space, an outdoor terrace, restaurant and lounge.

With the hotel operational throughout the renovation, guestrooms will be refreshed with new furnishings, fixtures and finishes. The current lobby will be transformed into an open and airy urban concept, with relaxed lounge seating, reception pods and indoor and outdoor dining. The third floor will be converted to feature a new ballroom with riverfront views, and a rooftop terrace with a contemporary metal and glass roof canopy, destination bar, and seating and dining areas.

HPA is working in close collaboration with The Gettys Group, the project’s interior designer, to ensure the realization of a well coordinated and unified design scheme.
